Regular meetings on the first Thursday of the month from September-May
at 8 p.m. in the community center. Cash bingo played on Saturday
nights at 7 p.m. with three jackpots, free coffee and lunch. Post
sponsors a legion baseball team, many youth and adult programs,
soup or pancake days for special projects. They will cater beverages
for social hours at weddings or organizational dances on request.
A Memorial Day program is held and memorial flags at the cemetery
and avenue of flags on Main Street for Holidays.

held the first Thursday at 8 p.m. in the community center.

Big Sioux Guys and Gals 4-H Club
Available to town or country children ages 8-18 years old. Meetings
held monthly with yearly dues. Parental involvement required. Contacts:

Ardell Strait
The Castlewood Arts Council organizes community entertainment and
arts activities. It
sponsors the Holiday Fair and Fun Day the second Saturday in October
and promotes reading programs, artists in schools, children's theater
and other projects for the young people. Willing

and new members are always welcome.

Civic organization with meetings on the third Tuesday of each moth
at 8p.m. in the community center. The Castlewood historical Society
was organized in May 1988 with 20 charter members and one honorary
member, Grace Ellefson, whose family contributed much history to
our
city. Our motto is "Preserving the Past for the Future."
Our goal is to preserve Castlewood's history. Dues are $5 a
year and we are always looking for new members.
